PHOTOGRAPHY Skateparks
I've been exploring skate parks in my area Ever since I've picked up a BMX bike in 2018. I often go ride early in the morning or just before nightfall and I witness the park in its deserted form. With little to no crowd, there's a harmony that occurs between the curves and angles of the park and the natural environment it finds itself in. This balance inspires a sense of internal flow that is echoed in the activity of riding.
Skateparks are places that generate creative ideas, collaboration, communion, community and a carving out of one's identity, often regardless of one's social status or antecedents. As such, they can first appear quite intimidating, but if one is willing to take the risk of riding and trying the park out, with humble confidence, it becomes ultimately a very rewarding experience.
